3 Lines inclined to both plane
3.1 The
top view of a line PQ makes an angle of 30 with the horizontal and has a length
of 100 mm. The end Q is in the HP and P is in the VP and 65 mm above the HP.
Draw the projections of the line and find its true length and true inclinations
with the reference planes. Also show its traces
3.2 A
straight line ST has its end S 10 mm. In front of the VP and nearer to it. The
mid-point m of the line is 50 mm in front of the VP and 40 mm. above the HP.
The front and top views measure 90 mm and 120 mm. respectively. Draw the
projections of the line. Also find its true length and inclinations with the HP
and the VP.
3.3 A
line MN inclined at 40° to VP has its end 50 mm. and 20 mm. above HP. The
length of its front view is 70 mm. and its VT is 10 mm. above HP. Find its true
length, true inclination with HP and locates the traces
3.4 A
line RS of length 120 mm has its end R
50 mm in front of VP. The HT of the line is 40 mm. In front of VP and the VT is
48 mm. above the HP. If the distance between HT and VT is 100 mm. Draw the
projections of the line.
3.5 The
ends P, Q and R of three rods are resting on the ground. The other ends meet at
0, 60 mm above the ground. The top view of the assembly consists of three lines
of length 50 mm, 40 mm and 30 mm. The 50 mm line makes 30 with the horizontal.
Angle between 50 mm and 30 mm line is 100. The 40 mm line is further displaced
by 120 from 30 mm line. Draw the projection of assembly and find its true
length and true inclination of each rod with ground
3.6 A
line PQ has its end P 10 mm. above the HP and 20 mm in front of VP. The end Q
is 35 mm in front of the VP. The front view of the line measures 75 mm. The
distance between the end projectors is 50 mm. Draw the projections of the line
and find its true length and its time inclination with the VP and HP

2 Lines inclined to single plane
2.1 A
line AB, has end A 20mm below and 300 inclined to HP. If the line is 30mm behind and
parallel to VP, draw projections and find its true length. The distance between
the end projectors is 60 mm and the line is in the 3rd quadrant
2.2 A
line PQ of length 60 mm is parallel to VP and 30 mm in front of it. If
the point P is 16 mm above and point Q is 50 mm above HP. Draw its projections
and find the horizontal trace.
2.3 The
end C of a line CD is 20 mm in front of VP while the end D is 32 mm above HP.
The line is parallel to HP and 450 inclined to VP. Draw its
projections and mark its VT, if the length of line is 50 mm.
2.4 The
front view of a line RS is 80mm long and it makes an angle of 450 to
xy line the midpoint m’ of the line r’s’ is 8 mm below the xy line
and the end R is in the 2nd quadrant. if the line is 16 mm behind
and parallel to VP, draw its projections and mark the traces
